Steelheart was a rising hard rock band in the early 1990s when tragedy struck. Vocalist Miljenko Matijevic rose from that tragedy to continue the band and now has released a very special track called "Trust In Love" as a message of peace to the world. Miljenko recently took some time to talk about this unique new song and the band's career.

In the midst of so-called "hair bands" in the early '90s, Steelheart released their 1990 self-titled debut album and thanks to the crossover single "I'll Never Let You Go" (which reached #23 on the Hot 100), the group earned strong sales and a solid following. Their 1992 follow-up, Tangled In Reins, got positive reviews from the rock press, but didn't have a radio hit and fickle.

Sadly things don't always pan out as planned and one fateful Halloween night in 1992 tragedy struck as vocalist Mili had a horrific onstage accident and the first chapter of Steelheart drew to a close in a flash. The road back has been a hard one, with more tragedy than most people should have to endure, but Mili is strong and life is good.
About Steelheart
Steelheart is the brainchild of Miljenko Matijevic whose powerful voice and multi-octave range is the heart and soul of the band. Although they were lumped in with the glut of long-haired hard rock bands emerging in the early '90s, the band was always more forward thinking than their peers and the 2017 version of the band has a contemporary and edgy feel, while still retaining the patented.
