The genus Doritis has only one species, D. pulcherrima, with several varieties. Multitudes of light cerulean blue 1 ¼" flowers with a deep purple-blue lip are produced on tall inflorescences over a compact leaf span. By combining the blue Dtps. Kenneth Schubert with the cerulean form of Doritis pulcherrima, this little hybrid has the extra added influence of the waxy flowered species, Phal. violacea, in its parentage.
