A walk in Obi Obi at Maleny
It passes through open woodland along ridges and crosses bridges and boardwalks over palm-lined streams. A short spur track, 265m from the start, leads to Obi Obi Creek. Another spur track, 225m long, leads to Narrows lookout, which provides a splendid view over the Narrows Gorge. The main track continues up a ridge to a large gully.

The Obi Obi Gorge is an easily accessed section of the Sunshine Coast hinterland just down from Maleny. There's a carpark near Baroon Pocket Dam on Narrows Road and from there its only a short walk down to the picturesque Obi Obi gorge.

Obi Obi gorge is in Kondalilla National Park and forms part of the Sunshine Coast hinterland Great Walk. This is a circuit - a creek walk and swim, then returning on a track -- which commences below Baroon Pocket Dam near Montville. We start on the Great Walk track but very soon head into Obi Obi creek which we follow through its steep-sided gorge.

New Zealand Engineers, Bridge. Some subsequent repairs to sleepers and bridges is evident but otherwise most of these tracks are what were constructed in 1990.

It's a beautiful and peaceful place and it's no wonder that locals love to visit Obi Obi Gorge. It is also home to some of the best activities and things to do in Maleny. Lush rainforest surrounded the gorge, and it's home to a number of stunning waterfalls.
